Art, Craft & Flower Festival
27.08.2011 - 29.08.2011
St Giles were very pleased to welcome hundreds of visitors to its biennial Art, Craft and Flower Festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend. As well as being able to enjoy the beautiful flower displays on the theme of Saints, visitors were able to view and buy paintings, patchworks and a host of other crafts.
There was also a variety of music played over the weekend, from Church Organ recitals through to the brass quintet, Crosswinds and the Variety Jazz Band.
Many thanks to all of those involved - it wouldn't have been the same without you.
London-to-Southend Bike Ride
17.07.2011
St Giles once again offered refreshments to riders on the field. A 'fun' time was had. Thanks to helpers and cake-bakers.
A 'Posh Tea'
24.06.2011
Over fifty 'customers' enjoyed an excellent tea of delicate sandwiches, scones and cream and yet more St Giles' special brand of delicious cakes. A venture to be repeated some time in the future. Well done Julia.

except where noted otherwise.
NADFAS
report on St Giles
This utterly fascinating, indeed frankly
wonderful, report on the church fabric, fixtures and fittings
is on display near the south door.
Families
are warmly welcomed to St Giles and to use the area especially created
for children. Unfortunately we cannot at present supervise your children
during the service on any regular basis, but do please feel able to
sit in there with them. If the children are old enough, they may move
in and out of the area as they wish, joining us in the pews from time
to time.
There's usually tea, coffee and biscuits (and sometimes cayke) available
after morning services - please feel free to join us...
